The Recycle Guys characters Can Guy and Dottie Bottle encourage recycling in a fun and entertaining way.The N.C. Division of Environmental Assistance and Outreach (DEAO) is committed to promoting environmental awareness and helping individuals and businesses make more informed environmental decisions. We understand that you want accurate and easily comprehensible information and data when it comes to environmental and natural resource issues. Whether seeking guidance on how to reduce your environmental impacts, searching for tools or materials on waste reduction, reuse or recycling or simply wanting professional advice on reducing water and energy usage, we provide you with timely and relevant information.

A DEAO representative teaches students about sediment, the number one stream pollutant in North Carolina, at the Buncombe County Environmental Field Days.We are a team of professionals dedicated to providing outreach and training to our customers through various outlets on our website as well as direct, customer-focused attention from our new Environmental Assistance Center. Our work focuses on inspiring change and facilitating action while producing sustainable results and providing cost-saving alternatives. Overall, we strive to make our community and environment a better place.
